Kegs of the revered Russian River Pliny the Younger 2012 are in Philadelphia. Let the madness begin. As many of you know, Pliny the Younger is a Triple IPA — hopped 3 times more than Russian River’s standard IPA, and is dry hopped 4 different times. It’s hoppy, delicious, and extremely limited. Philadelphia is lucky enough to get a very limited amount of this highly-acclaimed Triple IPA, Pliny the Younger.
Where can you find Russian River Pliny the Younger 2012 tappings in Philadelphia? PhillyTapFinder will be gathering all of the Pliny the Younger 2012 tappings here and will update regularly. Please note that because of the chaos that Pliny the Younger creates, several Philadelphia bars prefer that we do not post when the kegs will be tapped. We, of course, will not post the times for these bars. Also, please do not call any these bars to inquire. When they are ready for the information to be public, I will immediately update this site. To date, PhillyTapFinder has confirmed that the following Philadelphia bars have received kegs of Pliny the Younger (and when they will be tapped if available):
Grey Lodge
Monks: Monday, March 5 at 11:30am
The deets: $10 CASH for a 6-ounce pour of Pliny the Younger. MAD PROPS AS 100% OF PROCEEDS WILL GO TO ALEX’S LEMONADE STAND. Gestures like this are what makes Philly’s beer scene (Tom Peters, in particular) extra special. Well done! Here’s the full list of Russian River beers being poured that day.

The deets: 65 tickets on sale at the bar beginning on March 5 at 6pm. One ticket per person. $8 for a glass of Pliny the Younger. A great list will be accompanying Pliny the Younger.

Resurrection: Tuesday, March 6
The deets: First 50 people that responded to their email sent on the morning of 2/29 get in a half hour before bar opens for a glass of Pliny the Younger. I did not post the email address because I assume that the opportunity is supposed to be available for Resurrection regulars that subscribe to their email list (which is a great gesture in my opinion).
